Miami, October 26, 2011 – HBO Latin America announced the November 1st premiere of the One Love: Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival 2011 special in Latin America. The special features production and performance vignettes of the celebrated Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, while also spotlighting the island’s sites and landscapes. It also anticipates the celebration’s next edition set to take place in early 2012.

One Love invites viewers to enjoy Jamaica’s unique appeal by showcasing its culture, talents and natural beauty. In between takes of touristic hotspots such as the northern coast’s Green Grotto Caves and Ocho Rios’ Mystic Mountain, the special goes behind the scenes of what it takes to produce the three-day, world renowned musical event that headlines the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival.

Interlacing interviews not only with local tourists, but also the Festival’s key planners and artists including Maroon 5, Diana King, Natalie Cole and Laura Izibor, One Love aims to explore how the event captures the richness of Jamaica’s sounds and customs. Starring past performers of the likes of Lionel Richie, Alicia Keyes, John Legend and Gladys Knight and attracting over 30,000 patrons worldwide, the Festival brings its 15th year of prestige to the island with its 2011 rendition.

One Love centers on the musical event that took place in Trelawny’s Greenfield Stadium this past January. As such, the special anticipates the rhythmic celebration again taking place early next year in Montego Bay, from January 26-28, 2012. The Festival’s main performances once more promise a line-up of both international and local superstars, with a musical tribute honoring Jamaica’s 50th Anniversary of Independence.
