THE LAST OF US, HBO's original drama series - based on the critically acclaimed video game of the same name, developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for PlayStation® platforms - will premiere in 2023 on HBO Max and HBO.
The series will tell the story of what happens twenty years after modern civilization was destroyed. Joel (Pedro Pascal), a seasoned survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie ( Bella Ramsey) - a 14-year-old girl - out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job, soon turns into a brutal and harrowing journey, as the two must traverse the U.S. depending on each other to survive.
This super original HBO production stars Pedro Pascal as Joel. In the story, Bella Ramsey will give life to Ellie, Gabriel Luna will be Tommy, while Anna Torv will be Tess. Also participating are Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill.
Storm Reid will be Riley, Merle Dandridge will bring Marlene to life. Jeffrey Pierce will play Perry, Lamar Johnson will be Henry, and Keivonn Woodard will be seen as Sam. In addition, the production will also feature guest appearances by Graham Greene as Marlon, Elaine Miles as Florence, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker.
THE LAST OF US was written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and is executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Rose Lam. PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog are also producing.
