Buenos Aires, July 15, 2022- On Sunday, July 17, HBO Max will premiere  'MARIA MARTA: THE COUNTRY CLUB CRIME', a local production that brings to the screen from fiction and with a new vision, one of the most shocking cases in Argentina. The series will be available in its entirety on HBO Max and can also be seen weekly on HBO.

With a luxury cast, we tell you who is who in this production:

Jorge Marrale is Carlos Carrascosa (the husband): he is the protagonist of this story without wanting to be. "El gordo", as he is called in his inner circle, is a quiet man, with an acid humor and affectionate with his circle. He is not very demonstrative and did not give many statements to the media at the time of the crime. He will go from being the successful man with a very comfortable life to being the target of all suspicions.

Laura Novoa is María Marta Garcia Belsunce: very strong-willed, active and affectionate with her loved ones. She participates in community spaces and Missing Children. She has been married for many years to Carlos Carrascosa and is very attached to her family. Who could be capable of killing her with such viciousness? The media and the judiciary do not stop speculating.

Nicolás Francella is Matías Centeno (the neighbor): a neighbor classified as "persona non grata" in the gated community. He has explosive manners and a clear tendency to break the rules and the law. Centeno becomes the first suspect for the family.

Carlos Belloso as Horacio García Belsunce (the brother): Horacio is a lawyer, but his true passion is the media. From a wealthy family and with access to different media, he will not rest until he clarifies his sister's crime and erases the suspicions that fall on his family. Will he be able to arouse sympathy by going to different interviews in the most important media?

Guillermo Arengo is Guillermo Bártoli (the brother-in-law): brother-in-law and neighbor of María Marta and Carlos. There is a deep friendship and companionship between them, he will end up being singled out as a suspect. This will have a huge impact on his mood and will most likely lead him to get sick.

Muriel Santana is Belén (Belu) Franessi (blogger/researcher): an anesthesiologist and very analytical. Belu has been the victim of a malpractice trial so she knows the pitfalls of the legal system to build a case and find guilty parties without justice or truth. She starts a blog to prove Carlos Carrascosa's innocence and, through it, she contacts Juani to form an almost instant duo and they start a parallel investigation. Belu lives with her mother, with whom she has a strained but very revealing relationship, because thanks to the disagreements between them, she will ask uncomfortable questions and will consider all the unexplored hypotheses of the case.

Valeria Lois is Juana (Juani) Gómez Andrada (blogger/researcher): journalist and former radio producer of Horacio García Belsunce. Mother and wife, with a strong passion for lost causes. Daughter of a lawyer, she will use her knowledge and team up with Belu to prove the irregularities in the accusation against María Marta's family.

Mike Amigorena is Marcos del Río (the Prosecutor): he is a young prosecutor who feels overwhelmed by the access to power that the family has. He walks with a lead foot and is afraid to bother, but when public opinion begins to exert pressure because of the space given to the case by the media, he ends up discarding all possible hypotheses in order to close the case as soon as possible.

Esteban Bigliardi is John Hurtig (the brother): he is the youngest of the brothers, a bit impulsive many times he will be the one who complicates the family situation.

Ana Celentano is Irene Hurtig (the sister): she presents herself as a woman who has the ideal life: a good husband, two children, the house of her dreams, the social activity she always dreamed of. But the death of her sister puts everything in check and she understands that the only way to play the game is to understand the rules: Will learning law be enough to be able to defend her family?

María Leal is Elvira Garaycochea (Elvira - Belu's mother): locked in her apartment with her dog, the only contact she has with the outside world is through the television. The tumultuous context, with the media permanently attacking the family, will lead her to choose the path of the quick trial, but little by little she will get involved in the case and help her daughter in her search for answers.

The new series, which proposes to approach the case of Maria Marta García Belsunce as never seen before, invites the audience to live in first person what they have always been told. With a view that offers new perspectives and based on a research work with multiple sources, it is a gripping and daring story that invites you to enter the intimate world of María Marta, to live closely what happened before, during and after the crime that shocked public opinion, justice and the media.

The cast is headed by Jorge Marrale (Carlos Carrascosa), Laura Novoa (María Marta García Belsunce), Carlos Belloso (Horacio García Belsunce), Muriel Santa Ana (investigator/blogger Belu Franessi), with the special participation of Mike Amigorena (prosecutor Marcos del Río), Guillermo Arengo (Guillermo Bártoli), Valeria Lois (investigator/blogger Juana Gomez Andrada); Esteban Bigliardi (John Hurtig), Ana Celentano (Irene Hurtig), María Leal (Elvira, Belu's mother) and Nicolás Francella (neighbor Matías Centeno).
