São Paulo, June 27, 2022 – HBO Max launches the trailer for the second season of JOINT VENTURE, which premieres on the platform on July 3 and leaves the future of the cannabis industry in the air, amid a lot of smoke, in a fictional São Paulo where the use and sale of marijuana have been legalized.  With general direction by Quico Meirelles, the second season of the Brazilian HBO series presents an imminent conflict between the main characters, drawing the thin line between right and wrong. Episodes will be released weekly on the HBO Max streaming platform and the HBO channel.

During the first season, which is available on HBO Max in its entirety, the audience was able to accompany the awakening of the post-legalization economy. And now, the cannabis culture begins to be integrated into the daily lives of Brazilians, despite resistance from more conservative groups in society.

Luis Navarro, Henrique Santana and Daniel Furlan return to play Biriba, Salim and Vini, respectively, as well as Leilah Moreno in the role of Kelly. The cast also includes rapper Dexter, Nathalia Ernesto and Bruno Giordano.

In the second season, Biriba (Navarro) sees all aspects of his life dominated by CD (Dexter). The drug lord took control of not only his family, but also of his cannabis business. Upon seeing himself sucked back into the world of crime, Biriba allies himself with old acquaintances in a risky attempt to bring about CD’s demise and leave this world behind once and for all. He wants to be the industry’s future.
