The Max Originals production, which will crown the pop trio, will have Vanessa da Mata, Diego Timbó and Tiago Abravanel as judges of the competition
São Paulo, March 10, 2022 - QUEEN STARS BRASIL, the Max Original production hosted by Pabllo Vittar and Luísa Sonza, will premiere on March 24 on HBO Max. The duo will head a fierce competition where 20 drag queens will unleash their voices in search of the pop podium.
With Pabllo and Luísa at the helm along with special guests, QUEEN STARS BRASIL will promote challenges between competitors to test their skills in dancing, singing and performing. Three judges and four mentors will participate in the process. The judges are Vanessa da Mata, Diego Timbó and Tiago Abravanel, while the mentors are Bruno Barbosa (dance), Blacy Gulfier (voice), Michelly X (makeup) and Flávio Verne (art direction). Throughout the thematic episodes, the participants who stand out the least will be eliminated - turning into glitter - after collective and individual presentations. In the grand finale, three competitors will be crowned the queens of pop.
“I am very happy to be part of such a special project like QUEEN STARS BRAZIL. It has been a totally new experience for me to immerse myself in this world of being a presenter, but with Luísa at my side it will surely be a success. I’m very excited! My fans, principally, will love it and will identify with it, in the same way that I immediately identified with the program,” says Pabllo Vittar.
“This new chapter has been super important for me. I feel very honored and touched by the invitation. I like exploring the “Luísas” that exist within me and this opportunity only adds to that. Not to mention that I will have Pabllo by my side, who is always delicious! We will give it our all!” affirms Luísa Sonza.
“Pabllo Vittar and Luísa Sonza are two very important icons in the Brazilian cultural scene. In addition to the representation that both bring, the talent is indisputable. We are very excited to have them as presenters of this reality show, which will undoubtedly win over Brazilians, and which gives a platform to these incredible artists who are participants in the program,” declares Tomás Yankelevich, Chief Content Officer of General Entertainment for WarnerMedia Latin America.
“We are proud to carry out another Endemol Shine Brasil project. We are committed to diversity and working with a partner like HBO Max, who also values this type of content, is a joy for us. The program is beautiful, full of representation and a lot of musical talent,” says Nani Freitas, CEO of Endemol Shine Brasil.
QUEEN STARS BRASIL is part of the more than 100 local Max Originals productions in Latin America scheduled to debut on HBO Max in 2023.
The reality show is a WarnerMedia Latin America original production made by Endemol Shine Brasil for HBO Max.
