HBO Max announces the premiere of the TV show, CALL ME KAT, the new sitcom inspired by the British production, MIRANDA, by Miranda Hart. Kat, a 39 year old woman, decides to use the money their parents have saved for her wedding to open a cat café.
The renowned actress, Mayim Bialik, takes on the character of Kat as the main character of this series and proposes a look at self-realization and the pursuit of happiness regardless of the context. She has to deal with society and her mother on a daily basis, to whom she must constantly remind that even if she is single, she can still be happy with her cat.
The cast is completed by Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Gant, Leslie Jordan, and Swoosie Kurtz.
Bialik also produces this series alongside his former THE BIG BANG THEORY colleague Jim Parsons. In addition, Darlene Hunt, Todd Spiewak, Miranda Hart and Angie Stephenson also produce this show.
CALL ME KAT has a 13-episode season that generates empathy and brings humor to the audience. It is perfect to enjoy with the whole family, with touches of comedy about everyday life and the new paradigms that are imposed today in terms of the definition of happiness.
