MIAMI, FL., August 27, 2020 – HBO continues to expand its offering of the best from the DC Comic world with BIRDS OF PREY, which will soon premiere on HBO and HBO GO. Starring Margot Robbie, the films brings together a cast of talented women including Jurnee Smollett (LOVECRAFT COUNTRY), Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez and Elle Jae Basco.
Directed by Cathy Yan, BIRDS OF PREY follows Harley Quinn after the Joker breaks up with her and she finds herself unprotected against Gotham City’s crime lord, the Black Mask and his goons. The playing field is soon leveled after Harley unexpectedly joins forces with three other women – Black Canary, The Huntress and Renee Montoya – in order to save Cassandra Cain, a young girl in danger for being in possession of a diamond that belongs to the Black Mask.
