Miami, July 13th, 2009 – HBO Latin America (LA) announced that it will start broadcasting the third season of the acclaimed Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated series Big Love beginning July 18. The series continues to explore the institution of marriage through a typically atypical family and the various secrets that each character reveals over the course of the episodes.
“Big Love is an entertaining series on a very original topic that has been very well received by viewers. The fact that we all have secrets is perfectly captured in this third season, which is filled with unique and fascinating situations involving this peculiar family,” Gustavo Grossman, vice president of content for HBO Latin America, said. In this third season, Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) looks to bolster his finances by expanding his business, while his three wives – Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Nicki (Chloe Sevigny) and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) – continue to have problems, even more so now because of the possibility of a fourth wife. Bill also will face uncomfortable and unpleasant situations with his father Frank (Bruce Dern), his mother Lois (Grace Zabriskie), his brother Joey (Shawn Doyle) and his three mothers-in- law.
The executive producers of BIG LOVE III are Playtone’s Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman and its creators are Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer (writer of HBO’s “In the Gloaming” and producer of the independent film “Easter”). The series consists of 10 60-minute episodes.
